CHURN
Churn’s sculptural design adapts to any hand orientation, overcoming limitations of current ice cream scoops. Its heat-conductive liquid transfers the warmth from the user's hand to the oval scoop head, making it easier to cut through the icy treat.

Exploring lever mechanics of scoop
Handle makes it difficult to hold upside down
Slippery handle grip
IMAGE BOARD

PRODUCT HACK
Considering the pain points, I developed several solutions. The groovy handle and oval scoop were favored for their improved grip and performance.
01  Groovy Handle
02  Finger Loop
03  Handle Extension
04  Oval Scoop
IDEATION
Sketches based on product hack and user research.

PROTOTYPINGFoam models indicated that a full-twist handle and oval scoop were the most effective, offering a secure grip and ease in use.
